Icestar led her clan through the forest that they had just come to looking around when she saw what looked like some abandoned dens. "Thunderclan, we have reached a place that we can live in," she meowed flicking her tail her icy-blue eyes glowing. She soon found a den where kits and queens could stay and motioned for Snakekit to come towards her. "This will be where you and the other kits will be sleeping," she meowed flicking her ears.

[Venom]

"There aren't many other kits. Or even queens." Snakekit said bluntly, her voice lacking in emotion totally, a dull ache in her chest that almost made her wince visibly. Oh, Badgerkit, I wish you were here! She shouted in her mind. It's been an emotional hurricane for the little kit in the past few days.

[dusk]

Squirrelchaser stumbled over to Icestar not having heard what she said before and gazed steadily at her leader. "Where will I sleep?" she asked the white leader flicking her tail her eyes dull from lack of sleep.

"Your a queen so you'll sleep in the den with Snakdkit, which will now be known as the nursery, I'll get someone to go hunting with me so you and Snakekit can eat," Icestar meowed flicking her ears and turned away from them to make sure that everyone else got settled.

Squirrelchaser sighed and rolled her eyes desperately missing her mate that no one knew about. Hunching her shoulders she dragged her paws as she made her way into the nursery and flopped down turning her back to the entrance not worrying about moss at the moment to caught up in her greif and longing for her mate. Her mate wasn't dead he was in Shadowclan and because of Shadowclans leader they had to flee from their home. No one knew about her forbiddion relationship and she planned on keeping it that way.

[Venom]

Snakekit's small paws carried her to the den almost unwillingly. She trailed Squirrelchaser, her tail dragging on the ground, sending a cloud of dust behind her. She stumbled, jabbing her foot into a rock. Her eyes clouded with pain and she felt her emotional control slipping away. All at once she broke down and cried. She was inside the nursery, at least, huddled up in a tight ball, making loud sobbing noises.

Squirrelchaser shifted in her nest wouldn't to wail up to the sky how unfair this situation was, but knew that everyone would find out about Thornfang is she did that. Letting out a sigh she banged her head against the den floor to distract herself from her longing and grief. Well the pain did help distract her, but now she had a headache and was getting annoyed by every minute that passed. Suddenly she stood up and stomped out of the nursery almost running into Icestar.

Icestar leapt back in surprise confused to why Squirrelchaser was out of the nursery when her kits would be born any day now. "Hey, Squirrelchaser something wrong," she asked concerned about the ginger queen.

"Nothing that concerns you," Squirrelchaser grumbled brushing past Icestar and flopped don in the clearing watching cats come and go.

Snakekit had stopped crying enough to notice Squirrelchaser race out of the nursery. She lifted her head, sniffling from her crying.

"Icestar? I don't feel good." She mumbled, her blue green eyes on her paws. She knew what made her sick probably couldn't be cured with any combination of herbs.

[dusk]

Icestar turned to glance at Snakekit remembering how her parents when her parents had died. Snakekit was taking the death of her family well unlike when her family had died she had fallen into a depression and hadn't had any appitite. "I know how it feels to lose someone, but they never leave you, there right here," she meowed placing her paw where the kits heart was. "They are looking over you, and there proud of you, but don't be afraid to let others into your walls, I thought shutting myself away from my clan mates was the best thing to do, but it wasn't it make you lonely, I don't like seeing my clan mates hurt," she meowed flicking her ears.

Squirrelchaser listened to Icestars and Snakekits conversation and sighed thinking that Snakekit was lucky compared to her. Both her parents had died before getting to know their daughter. Her father had died before he even knew her mother was expecting kits and her mother died giving birth to her. As a kit she had thought the queen that was raising her was her mother, but with her dying breath she had told Squirrelkit the truth. Now she was a queen expecting the kits of a Shadowclan tom.

[Sunsong]

Sunsong was sitting a little way off from the three cats. She had become ThunderClan's new medicine cat only recently, and she was determined to help her Clan in these tough times.

She padded over to Icestar and meowed, "Excuse me, dear leader, but does any one need me to heal them at all? I've nothing to do except help heal this Clan. If anyone needs me, just tell me now." Sunsong waited anxiously for her leader's reply.

[dusk]

Icestar turned in surprise at Sunsomgs voice dipping her head to her medicine cat her ears flicking back and forth. "Hmmm....no, but maybe you can cheer up Snakekit and Squirrelchaser," she meowed wondering if she had helped cheer the kit up a little bit.

[Sunsong]

Turning to Snakekit, Sunsong meowed, "Snakekit, what happened to ThunderClan is not your fault. You needn't not feel bad. Are you in shock? If so, you should take some poppy seed." Turning to Squirrelchaser's direction, she whispered to Icestar, "The only way to calm her down is leaving her alone. Give her some time. Eventually she'll realize that ThunderClan will not tolerate ShadowClan's rule over the forest."
